Nvidia Appoints Andy Grant as EMEA Director of Supercomputing, Higher Education, and AI 

Nvidia recently appointed Andy Grant as Director, Supercomputing, Higher Education, and AI for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). With over 25 years of high-performance computing (HPC) experience, Grant brings a wealth of knowledge and a track record of success in the industry.

Before joining Nvidia, Grant was the Global Head of HPC, AI, and Quantum Sales at Atos, where he led sales for large-scale HPC projects across all market sectors and delivered strategic initiatives. Under his leadership, numerous top 50 HPC and large-scale AI deployments were successfully executed.

Grant’s career spans several key positions in the HPC sector. Prior to final role at Atos, he managed the HPC, big data, and cybersecurity division for the UK and Ireland, facilitating complex HPC, cloud, and big data solutions.

His tenure at IBM as the head of sales and business development for HPC in the UK and Ireland showcased his ability to manage sales and technical teams effectively. Notably, Grant was a founding member of the UK Government’s e-Infrastructure Leadership Council, advising on policy issues related to HPC and Big Data.

In a recent statement on LinkedIn, Grant expressed his enthusiasm about his new role: “I’m super excited to share that I’m starting a new position as EMEA Director, Supercomputing, Higher Education, and AI at Nvidia! Looking forward to working with colleagues and customers old and new in these exciting times for our industry!”

Grant’s first day with Nvidia was this week at the EuroHPC Summit in Antwerp, signaling a strong start to his tenure. As Nvidia progresses in the fields of supercomputing and artificial intelligence, his vast experience and leadership are expected to drive significant growth and innovation in the EMEA region.
