Signal AI Acquires KELP to Help Organizations Strengthen Their Reputation

NEW YORK and LONDON, Aug. 10 2022 -- Signal AI today announces that it has acquired US company KELP Inc., the first actionable platform for corporate reputation.

The acquisition builds on deep synergies between the two businesses. It accelerates a shared vision to help organizations understand the external events that are impacting their success. Together, Signal AI and KELP will enable executives to make more informed decisions to shift their strategies, capitalize on emerging opportunities, and mitigate rising risks.

The combination of Signal AI’s unique external intelligence data and KELP’s industry leading reputation insights will create a game changing solution that empowers organizations to quantify the aggregate impact of all company actions and strengthen corporate reputation.

“I’m incredibly excited to join forces with KELP, because 85% of business leaders say that reputation is a higher priority than margin in the decision-making process," said David Benigson, Signal AI CEO. "At Signal AI, we’re already providing executives with external intelligence to help them cut through the noise and understand which topics and events are impacting their reputation. Together with KELP, we’ll turn this data into truly actionable insight for our customers.”

Signal AI’s External Intelligence Graph, a comprehensive view of an organization's external world, uses AI technology working at scale to provide external intelligence to help businesses cut through the noise and make sense of the topics and events that are affecting them.

Powered by Signal AI’s External Intelligence Graph, KELP dives deep into what drives positive reputation within industries like Healthcare & Life Sciences and Aerospace & Defense — surfacing actionable insights that executives can use to target highly influential audiences with the right message, on the right channel, with the right cadence.

Adding to the rapidly expanding Signal AI US team, KELP’s team will join Signal AI as full-time employees, including co-founders Dan Gaynor and Shann Biglione. Gaynor previously served in Global Communications at Nike and as a presidential appointee in the Obama Administration, then founded Weber Shandwick’s narrative strategy and analytics practice. Biglione—former Head of Strategy at Publicis Media—worked for and advised brands like GSK, Walt Disney Studios and Verizon.
