Cybertrust Japan and Quadric.io Launch Initiative for ‘Edge Supercomputing’ Platform

BURLINGAME, Calif., Jan. 29, 2020 --  Cybertrust Japan Co., Ltd. and Quadric.io today announced they will be combining Cybertrust Japan’s IoT services solutions along with Quadric’s Edge Supercomputing Processors to deliver an end-to-end Edge Supercomputing Platform with unprecedented performance. Quadric’s Edge Supercomputing Processors provide 10x latency improvements and 10x lower power across artificial intelligence, machine learning, digital signal processing and video algorithms to support a broad range of end applications in numerous market segments. The companies will work together to promote the development and deployment of Next-generation Edge Supercomputing environments for several end market segments including: Industrial IoT, Manufacturing Robotics, Medical, Imaging, Security and Autonomous driving.  Next-generation Edge Supercomputing environments powered by Quadric and Cybertrust will enable customers to perform critical preprocessing of data at the edge securely and privately, streamlining connection to the cloud for 100’s of millions of IoT devices.

“An end-to-end scalable Edge Compute and security solution is quickly becoming an absolute requirement for the IoT market,” said Yasutoshi Magara, CEO of Cybertrust Japan. “By working with Quadric.io to integrate a complete Edge Server along with our Secure IoT Platform, EMLinux and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solutions, we can provide seamless Trust services throughout the lifecycle of IoT devices and fulfill our company’s mission to provide a highly trusted and valued security solution to our global partners and customers.”

“The magnitude of data generated by edge solutions is estimated to reach totally unmanageable proportions of 175 Zetta Bytes (1 Zetta Byte = 1e+9 Tera Byte) by 2025,” said Veerbhan Kheterpal, President and CEO Quadric.io.  “All this data is not possible to process in the cloud due to latency, bandwidth and privacy reasons. The only viable solution is to move the compute closer to the data. Cybertrust products and reputation make them an ideal partner for edge processing solutions and we look forward to adding our Edge Supercomputing solutions to their product portfolio.”
