Huawei Joins Cloud Foundry Foundation 

Cloud Foundry Foundation, home of the leading open source cloud native application platform, today announced that Huawei is joining the independent open source organization. As part of its overall cloud computing, big data and IoT strategy, Huawei Platform as a Service (PaaS), based on Cloud Foundry and other open source technologies, will power Huawei public cloud services for cloud native application developers. Huawei public cloud is to be launched later this year. With an open source PaaS platform, Huawei aims to help its telecom and enterprise customers improve their business time-to-market and innovation cycles in the new cloud era. This, in turn, will allow Huawei customers to be more competitive.

Huawei and other members are joining Cloud Foundry Foundation are at the Cloud Foundry Summit today and tomorrow in Santa Clara, Calif. 1,400 application developers, IT operations experts, technical managers, business leaders, service providers and project contributors are gathered in an independent forum to accelerate and advance the Cloud Foundry open source project.
