Scaleway Launches ‘Bare Metal Ultimate Performance XL’ Server
PARIS, Nov. 19, 2020 -- Scaleway, the fast-growing European public cloud, and first cloud provider worldwide to have released bare metal solutions over public cloud in 2015, announces the launch of its Bare Metal Ultimate Performance XL (UP-BM2-XL), claiming it as the world’s most powerful bare metal server.
This exceptional server offers 448 2.7GHz threads, 7.68TB fast memory, 20.6TB high performance NVMe storage, and 10 to 25 Gbit/sec bandwidth.
Designed for on-demand intensive computing, In-Memory or transactional databases, and all workloads incompatible with horizontal scaling, this bare metal server is available in the PAR2 Eco-Availability Zone. Hosted in DC5, Scaleway’s latest data center which offers unique environmental performance and a record PUE of lower than 1.15, the server is also VMware and SAP-HANA certified. The server is available as of today.
