Celonis Partners with Microsoft to Accelerate Intelligent Business Execution

NEW YORK and MUNICH, April 15, 2021 -- Celonis, a global leader in Execution Management Systems (EMS), announced an agreement today at Celosphere, a conference for business execution and process mining. The companies are bringing together Celonis’ system of intelligence for business execution with Microsoft’s portfolio of cloud data services, analytics and intelligent automation platforms.

The Celonis integrations across Microsoft technology will help customers fix hidden bottlenecks in their business and execute their core processes at maximum capacity.

Joint customers can deploy the Celonis Execution Management System (EMS) on the Microsoft Azure cloud computing platform and easily connect and analyze real-time process data from their enterprise systems. The Celonis EMS, which sits on top of enterprise ERP and CRM systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365, applies process mining, intelligence and automation to improve the core functions and processes that drive business execution.

Additional highlights of the collaboration include:

  • Microsoft Power BI strengthened analytics. The Celonis EMS will integrate with Microsoft’s Power BI as the customer’s unified analytical platform to provide business insights.
  • Microsoft Power Platform and Power Apps integration. Coming soon, business users of any technical acumen will be able to take action by integrating Celonis’ suggested process and execution improvements with Microsoft’s Power Platform and Power Apps to trigger intelligent automation.

“We believe that every company can unlock execution capacity and operate at peak performance,” said Malhar Kamdar, Chief Ecosystem Officer from Celonis. “By partnering with Microsoft, we’re helping even more companies harness data-driven execution in their business, transform how they operate and unlock massive amounts of business value trapped in their systems.”

“Execution management is a necessity for enterprise digital transformation,” said Charles Lamanna, Corporate Vice President of Low Code Platform at Microsoft. “Our priority is to help our customers scale without any limitations caused by execution barriers. The integration of Celonis’ leading process mining and EMS technology with Microsoft technology gives them the insight and action they need to continually improve business performance.”

“Despite the challenges caused by the global pandemic, we continue to identify and remove execution barriers to provide our customers the best possible experience. Celonis enabled Lufthansa CityLine to increase punctuality by 300,000 minutes and reduce delays in maintenance work by 15%,” said Philipp Grindemann, Head of Business Development & Project Management at Lufthansa CityLine. “As we are continuously striving for operational excellence, we are excited about the new opportunities.”
