ICC Launches Upgraded Line of Servers Based on the Intel Xeon Scalable Processors

NORTHBROOK, Ill., April 8, 2021 -- International Computer Concepts (ICC), a leading systems integrator of enterprise-level computing solutions, today announced the launch of the next generation of systems based on the new Intel Xeon Scalable Processors. The processors see a sizable performance boost, and the ICC Intel Xeon Scalable Processor-based systems built around them also maximize the performance-per-dollar customers will experience with this new generation of servers.

Intel’s 3rd Gen Scalable processors deliver improvements in I/O, memory, storage and network technologies to harness actionable insights from the data-intensive cloud, enterprise, AI, HPC, network, security and IoT environments. With the new line of its Xeon processors, Intel has demonstrated a enhanced performance, throughput and CPU frequencies over the 2nd Gen Xeon Scalable processors, delivering multi-socket core count density with up to 28 cores per processor and up to 224 cores per platform in a 8-socket configuration. The new line of processors also allows for increased DDR4 memory and speed capacity as well as enhanced AI learning capabilities such as 1.93x more AI training performance for image classification (vs. prior generation) and up to 1.92x higher cloud data analytical performance (vs. 5-year old 4-socket platform) The new Intel Xeon Scalable processors will come in Platinum and Gold levels, varying in performance and energy efficiency.

The next generation of ICC Intel Xeon Scalable Processor-based systems launching today take advantage of all of these improvements to the core processing capabilities and offer other advantages as well. The new ICC X12 based product line features 1U and 2U rack servers as well as high-density servers in Twin and Blade form factors. Storage and I/O performance has increased, and the new systems take advantage of all-flash and NVMe SSD designs. Power supplies for these units are up to Titanium level and 96% efficient. Networking options supported include 1G up to 100G Ethernet, InfiniBand, and Intel Omni-Path Architecture (optimized for HPC). The high-density ICC Intel Xeon Scalable Processor-based options in Twin or Blade form factors will deliver greater performance-per-watt, per-dollar, and per-square-foot than ever before.

“The new Intel Xeon Scalable Processors represent the largest updates to the ICC server portfolio in the past decade,” said ICC’s Director of Development, Alexey Stolyar. “ICC will pass the notable performance benefits of this new technology on to our customers, offering them the best possible systems on the market for their needs.”

The new generation of ICC Intel Xeon Scalable Processor-based systems come in a variety of form factors, including rack and high-density servers. These systems are available for sale as of today.
