Gopal Hegde Joins SiMa.ai to Lead Engineering and Operations
SAN JOSE, Calif., June 17, 2020 — SiMa.ai, the machine learning company enabling high performance compute at the lowest power, announced that Gopal Hegde joined the company as a senior vice president to lead the engineering and operations teams. His leadership will be instrumental as the company scales from the architecture development phase to production, while also building out the engineering organization and operations to grow the company.

Hegde brings more than 30 years of experience in leadership and engineering positions at startups and large public companies, including Cavium (acquired by Marvell), Calxeda, Cisco, Intel, and Acclaim Communications (acquired by Level One/Intel). He is a highly technical, results-oriented leader with a stellar track record in developing world-class products and increasing revenues to $100M+ while incubating new and scaling existing products. Throughout his career, Gopal has demonstrated excellence in establishing new businesses in target markets and leveraging workload/solution specific domain expertise to develop and deliver products that meet key customer requirements. Known for his hands-on management, Hegde manages complex projects and ensures that all of his team’s work is in line with business drivers, market trends, customer feedback, and operating metrics. He holds three innovative technology patents, has a master of science in engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and was noted as an HPCwire People to Watch in 2019.
