Altizon Recognized in the Gartner 2019 Magic Quadrant for Industrial IoT Platforms

SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif., and PUNE, India, July 10, 2019 – For the second consecutive year, Altizon, a global industrial Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) platform company, has been recognized in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for IIoT Platforms*. Altizon is one of 16 companies worldwide included in this year’s Magic Quadrant. Vendors are evaluated based on their ability to execute and completeness of vision.

The 2019 Magic Quadrant for IIoT Platforms also recognized Altizon’s Datonis Industrial IoT Platform. According to the report, “The IIoT platform is differentiated from legacy operational technology because of the IIoT platform’s capabilities to cost-effectively collect higher volumes of high-velocity, complex machine data from networked IoT endpoints; to orchestrate historically siloed data sources to enable better accessibility (across the enterprise and with partners); [and] to improve insights and actions across a heterogeneous asset group through specialized analysis of the data.”

“We believe that being recognized for the second consecutive year in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for IIoT Platforms is an honor and a testament to our innovation and ability to deploy on-premises, on IaaS on any cloud, or integrated with AWS and Microsoft Azure services,” said Vinay Nathan, chief executive officer of Altizon. “We've been laser-focused on building out our Datonis platform’s capabilities and working closely with our 100+ customers to deliver a full range of IIoT platform components. We feel that the continued recognition in the Gartner Magic Quadrant validates our work in helping our customers accelerate their smart manufacturing initiatives.”

According to Gartner Methodologies, “A Gartner Magic Quadrant report is a culmination of research in a specific market, giving you a wide-angle view of the relative positions of the market's competitors. By applying a graphical treatment and a uniform set of evaluation criteria, a Magic Quadrant helps you quickly ascertain how well technology providers are executing their stated visions and how well they are performing against Gartner's market view. Use a Gartner Magic Quadrant as a first step to understanding the technology providers you might consider for a specific investment opportunity.”
