BlueData Joins Dell Technology Partner Program

SANTA CLARA, Calif., March 8 -- BlueData, provider of a leading infrastructure software platform for Big Data, today announced that it has achieved certified partner status in the Dell Technology Partner Program. This rigorous certification process involved testing by Dell engineers to validate the integration and interoperability of BlueData software with Dell hardware, including Dell PowerEdge servers, for Big Data workloads.

BlueData will also be featured in Dell Solution Centers, a global network of technical centers that showcase Dell solutions in a hands-on environment with state-of-the-art labs and solution experts. Dell will highlight the BlueData EPIC software platform for providing Big-Data-as-a-Service in an on-premises deployment model using Docker containers.

As a certified Dell technology partner, BlueData can now deliver a combined solution that can be rapidly adopted by enterprise organizations to simplify their Hadoop and Spark deployments running on Dell hardware. Dell recently published a configuration guide for the BlueData EPIC software platform: BlueData on Dell PowerEdge Servers.

BlueData enables enterprises to implement Big-Data-as-a-Service in their own data centers, with the ability to spin up Hadoop and Spark clusters in just a few mouse clicks. BlueData's software helps to simplify Big Data infrastructure, reduce costs by up to 75 percent, and allow self-service deployment of Big Data applications in a secure multi-tenant environment.

"We are honored to be part of an elite group of technology partners certified by Dell and included in their global solution centers," said Kumar Sreekanti, co-founder and CEO of BlueData. "Dell is a market leader in Big Data infrastructure, and this certification builds upon our joint engagement with many customers in the field. Together, Dell and BlueData customers can achieve greater agility and cost-savings while ensuring high performance and scalability for Big Data analytics."
