arcplan and Simba Technologies Partner
arcplan is pleased to announce a new addition to its partner community: Simba Technologies. The partnership highlights both companies' strengths, with arcplan as the leading Unified Business Analytics platform and Simba as the market leader in standards-based relational and multi-dimensional data connectivity products. Though both companies have worked together for several years, the partnership is now formalized, with each party committed to strengthening the integration of their respective solutions.
Simba Technologies provides "the glue" between front-end business intelligence applications - like arcplan reports and dashboards - and back-end data servers, ensuring products interoperate according to established data standards like SQL and MDX. arcplan utilizes several of Simba's innovations which allow arcplan applications to easily connect to data sources for which arcplan does not have pre-built connectors - chiefly Simba's MDX Provider for Oracle OLAP, its Teradata OLAP Connector, and its Apache Hive ODBC Driver.
The partnership with Simba enables arcplan users to access their data warehouse in real time, leveraging the security and performance of the source system. Users can perform quick analysis on big data sets and explore powerful visualizations on any device. Because data is retrieved directly from the source, it eliminates the need for additional infrastructure and complexity and allows business users to be more proactive and productive with their analysis and decision-making.
