Winchester Introduces FlashDisk RAID Arrays With iSCSI 10Gb 

Winchester Systems Inc. today announced that its flagship line of FlashDisk RAID disk arrays now offer 10 Gb network interfaces that move data at up to 4,600 MB per second.

The FlashDisk FX Series is offered in three configurations:

  • FlashDisk FX-2300 Series includes a 2U high, 12-bay RAID unit with 3.5" drives expandable to 156 HDDs or SSDs with 432 TB maximum capacity.
  • FlashDisk FX-2500 Series includes a 2U high, 24-bay RAID unit with 2.5" drives expandable to 168 HDDs or SSDs with 432 TB maximum capacity.
  • FlashDisk FX-3400 Series includes a 3U high, 16-bay, RAID unit with 3.5" drives expandable to 160 HDDs or SSDs with 576 TB maximum capacity.

With 4 TB disks, the FlashDisk FX Series RAID disk arrays are ideal for "big data" applications including cloud storage, disaster recovery sites, local disk-to-disk backup, security and surveillance video, PACS medical imaging and archiving, image libraries, media distribution, broadcast, tape and robotics replacement as well as military reconnaissance imaging.
