Aug. 14 -- Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management, will be discussing the principles of smart water networks and benefits of big data management at Sustainable Water 2013, in September.

The company, which recently announced the rollout of its proprietary StruxureWare™ software solution for the water industry, will discuss the power of data for smart water network management.

Key to the debate will be how data generated by a company's assets can help water companies reduce water loss, by intelligently calculating pressure and managing leaks.

Schneider Electric's StruxureWare suite for water contains specific applications to help companies manage and monitor their sustainability initiatives, optimise their current operations and better manage their sites and processes.

Ivan Nazzaretto, Enterprise Offer Manager - Water & Wastewater (WWW) Solution, Schneider Electric, comments: "We firmly believe in the Smart Water Network concept, which encourages water utilities to integrate state-of-the-art software for network monitoring with existing corporate information technology systems, to optimise capacity and therefore make the most of their energy.

"We believe that smart management of the massive amounts of data that a water network produces, combined with real-time monitoring, automation and optimisation can help companies reduce leaks, better manage pressure and energy consumption, as well as providing reports and performance indicators."

Ivan Nazzaretto will be speaking during the Leakage Management and Reduction session at the event at Hotel Russell, London, on Tuesday 10 September 2013 at 16.10. For more information, please visit http://www.sustainable-water.co.uk
